Education

Dr. Mays Abuhashhash earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Al-Quds University, Palestine, in 2011. Following this, she completed her residency program in General Pediatrics and Neonatology at Jordan Hospital in Amman. In 2017, she obtained certifications from both the Arab Board and the Jordanian Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Mays Abuhashhash has 10 years of experience in Pediatrics. Dr. Abuhashhash earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Al-Quds University, Palestine, in 2011. Following this, she completed her residency program in General Pediatrics and Neonatology at Jordan Hospital in Amman. In 2017, she obtained certifications from both the Arab Board and the Jordanian Board of Pediatrics.
During her time at Jordan Hospital, Dr. Abuhashhash was recognized as the Best Exemplary Resident of the Year 2016-2017 in the Pediatric Section. Additionally, she achieved the top ranking in the Jordanian Board of Pediatrics in 2017. Subsequently, Dr. Abuhashhash served as a Pediatric Specialist at Universal Hospital, Al Ain, UAE, from 2018 to 2019
Dr. Abuhashhash is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and completed a Child Protection course.

Additionally, she has a keen interest in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat, Dr. Abuhashhash worked as a Specialist Physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Tawam Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Her field of expertise include pediatric emergency medical care, critical care and resuscitation in pediatric emergency department, routine baby and well-child check-up, screenings and health follow-up from newborn to late teens, newborn issues and breastfeeding counseling, growth, development, and nutrition counseling, immunization, common childhood diseases, childhood asthma and pediatric allergies, upper and lower respiratory diseases, ENT infections, vitamins and iron deficiencies, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, and GIT bleeding).
