Dr. Ossuetta obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Benin, Nigeria. He completed his House Officer training at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Kano, Nigeria, and subsequently undertook specialist training in Pediatrics and Neonates through the London Deanery, United Kingdom.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Ossuetta has held several senior clinical and leadership roles across the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. He served as Clinician Lead for the Beds and Herts Neonatal Network in the United Kingdom from 2008 to 2011. He has also held the position of Honorary Consultant in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London, United Kingdom. In addition, he served as Chair of the Neonatology Sub-committee at SEHA in Abu Dhabi from 2012 to 2015, where he contributed significantly to advancing neonatal care standards across the region. Notably, he played a key role in establishing Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care services at two hospitals in Abu Dhabi, strengthening critical care pathways for newborns.
Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat, Dr. Ossuetta served as Director of Neonatology Services at Burjeel Holdings and Consultant – Neonatology at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Ossuetta’s scope of practice includes neonatology, including the care of healthy newborns and critically ill infants requiring neonatal intensive care, as well as general pediatrics, with a particular focus on the follow-up care of high-risk infants after discharge from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Dr. Ossuetta has over 35 years of medical experience and more than 22 years of specialist experience in Pediatrics and Neonatology.
