Our neonatologists provide the full range of highly specialized medical services to care for the smallest and the sickest newborns. If your baby is admitted to the NICU, they may need support with breathing and nutrition or with specialized equipment such as vital monitoring machines or body cooling equipment.
Over 2200 newborns have been treated in our 33-bed NICU level III from 2016 – 2020, of which 1500 were premature babies born before 37 weeks of pregnancy. The smallest baby at Danat Al Emarat was born at 23 weeks into the pregnancy, weighing just 550 grams and was discharged from our hospital’s NICU four months after her birth. Our team consists of over 10 neonatology consultants, and specialists, in addition to over 40 internationally-qualified nurses specialized in providing care in neonatal intensive care units.
