Dr. Garg obtained a medical degree in Pediatrics from SMS Medical College in Jaipur, India, in 2004, after which he moved to the UK for further training. During the final years of his pediatric training, he completed higher specialist training in neonatology in the UK and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) by the General Medical Council, UK.
Dr. Garg has more than 15 years of specialist experience in Neonatology. Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Dr. Garg worked as Senior Consultant Neonatologist in a large tertiary neonatal center in Northeast England.
Dr. Garg’s scope of practice includes all aspects of neonatal intensive care (for all gestational ages including extreme preterm babies), outpatient clinics – developmental assessment of high-risk newborn babies, babies born with kidney problems, antenatal counseling for any high-risk pregnancy (twins, IVF, preterm labor, any congenital deformities), neonatal nutrition, neonatal neuro-developmental Follow-up (Bayley-3 and PARCA-R Trained, Clinical Research and Education).
During his time as a Neonatal Consultant in the UK, Dr. Garg has been instrumental in improving operational effectiveness across neonatal services and service development. He makes sure the medical care he gives to his patients is based on the best and latest evidence from medical research. Furthermore, Dr. Garg understands the values of family integrated and patient-centered care in order to provide the highest standards of care to his young patients. Additionally, Dr. Garg is deeply enthusiastic about research and academic activities. He has shared his research findings at numerous national and international conferences and has also contributed extensively to medical journals and publications.
