Dr. El Youssef received his medical degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles Faculty of Medicine, Belgium, in 1982, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences from the same institution.He subsequently completed his residency in General Surgery at Nassau University Hospital, New York, USA, before pursuing a Fellowship in Peripheral Vascular Surgery in the USA.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat, Dr. El Youssef worked as a General Surgeon and held teaching positions at leading medical institutions in the USA and at Damascus University School of Medicine.
Dr. El Youssef has over 21 years of medical experience in General Surgery.
Dr. El Youssef’s field of expertise includes General Surgery, minimally invasive surgery, proctology, venous disorders, and peripheral vascular surgery.
Dr. El Youssef has combined his clinical practice with extensive teaching experience, having held teaching positions at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Winthrop University Hospital, New York, USA, as well as at the Damascus University School of Medicine. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, proctology, and the management of venous disorders.
Dr. El Youssef’s scope of practice includes appendectomy, breast reconstruction, colonoscopy, small bowel resection, mastectomy, pilonidal sinus treatment, haemorrhoid treatment, and umbilical hernia surgery.
