Dr. Sudhakar obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India, in 1993. He then completed a Diploma in Orthopedics (D.Ortho) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India, in 1997, followed by the Diplomate of National Board in Orthopedics (DNB Ortho) from City Hospital Research and Diagnostic Centre, Mangalore, India, in 2001. He further pursued a Fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute, University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA, in 2010.
Dr. Sudhakar has extensive experience in the operative management of acute orthopedic trauma involving upper and lower limbs. His clinical expertise includes fracture fixation using intramedullary nailing, plating, and percutaneous techniques, as well as the management of peri-articular, open, and complex fractures, including external fixation. Dr. Sudhakar is also experienced in the management of hand and wrist fractures, pediatric fractures, and hand conditions such as compression neuropathies and soft tissue swellings. He has been actively involved in emergency trauma surgeries and the management of polytrauma cases throughout his career.
Prior to joining, Dr. Sudhakar worked as a Specialist in Orthopedics at Global Care Hospital. Dr. Sudhakar’s scope of practice includes acute orthopedic trauma involving upper and lower limbs, fracture fixation using intramedullary nailing, plating, and percutaneous techniques, management of peri-articular, open, and complex fractures including external fixation, hand and wrist fractures, pediatric fracture management, and treatment of hand conditions such as compression neuropathies and soft tissue swellings.
