Dr. Sohail obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Dow Medical College, Pakistan, in 2007. She then pursued a rigorous four-year clinical residency program in Internal Medicine at Civil Hospital Karachi, Pakistan, from 2010 to 2014, which included comprehensive rotations across various specialties such as Cardiology, Psychiatry, Nephrology, and Neurology. Dr. Sohail was awarded her Fellowship from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS) in Internal Medicine in 2018. In addition to her core medical training, Dr. Sohail completed her Specialty Certificate Exam in Acute Medicine from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK in 2021.
Dr. Sohail also holds memberships with the Royal College of Physicians, UK. Her training and professional experience encompass a wide range of internal medicine practices, including working in outpatient and inpatient departments of general and acute medicine, medical intensive care units, and long-term care units.
Dr. Sohail has over fifteen years of medical experience and two years of specialist experience in Internal Medicine.
Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Dr. Sohail worked as an Internal Medicine Physician at Al-Dhannah Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she dealt with a broad spectrum of medical conditions, offering both outpatient and inpatient care, and providing acute medical services in the emergency department.
Dr. Sohail’s scope of practice includes diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical illnesses.
