Dr. Almahri obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from King’s College London, UK. She went on to complete her Diploma in Fetal Medicine at The Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) (Research) in Maternal and Fetal Medicine from King’s College London, UK. Dr. Almahri also completed the Obstetrics & Gynaecology training programme under Health Education England, UK, and was awarded the Certificate of Subspecialist Accreditation in Maternal and Fetal Medicine by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK.
Dr. Almahri has more than sixteen years of medical experience in Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Almahri founded the UK’s first fetal neurosonography clinic and was appointed to a leadership position to spearhead and strengthen Fetal Medicine services at University Hospital Sussex. She was also selected for a teaching and mentoring role at King’s College London University as an Associate Professor and was chosen as one of seven candidates nationwide for the Maternal & Fetal Medicine subspecialty training (2021–2022) at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Dr. Almahri worked as a Consultant in Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, UK.
Dr. Almahri’s scope of practice includes Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Advanced Fetal Imaging and Diagnostic Services, and Preterm Birth Prevention and Management.
Dr. Almahri’s field of expertise encompasses the management of high-risk and complex pregnancies, Fetal Therapy and Fetal Surgery including diagnostic and interventional fetal procedures, Advanced Fetal Imaging and Diagnostic Services such as neurosonography and comprehensive fetal assessment, as well as Preterm Birth Prevention and Management, integrating evidence-based clinical programs.
