Dr Botros has more than 27 years of medical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr Botros obtained his Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) from Cairo University, Egypt. He then completed his Master of Science in Advanced Gynecological Endoscopy (MSc) at Surrey University, UK. Dr Botros is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (MRCOG) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FRCOG). He holds a Certificate of Completion of Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CCT) from the GMC, UK, and completed advanced training certification in Assisted Reproduction from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and British Fertility Society, UK. He also holds a CCT in General Practice from the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board, UK, and an Advanced Training Special Module in Benign Gynecological Surgery – Laparoscopy (ATSM) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, UK.
Dr Botros has led several prestigious programs throughout his career. He was the lead of an accredited center for endometriosis at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, UK (BSGE) for five years, and served as Master Surgeon and lead of an accredited center of excellence in minimally invasive surgery and endometriosis at Corniche Hospital for six years. He also served as Consultant in Fertility and Assisted Conception and Chief of Gynecology at Corniche Hospital for three years, establishing the fertility preservation service. Dr Botros is recognized as the first clinician in Abu Dhabi to introduce minimally invasive complex gynecological procedures including laparoscopic egg retrieval for fertility preservation, laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy/colpopexy for pelvic organ prolapse, VNOTES, laparoscopic uterine isthmocele repair, laparoscopic pelvic reconstructive surgery, and laparoscopic TAC. Prior to joining M42, Dr Botros worked as Division Chief / Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Assisted Reproduction at Corniche Hospital, UAE.
