Dr. Ayat obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Jordan, Jordan, in 2007. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Queen Alia Military Hospital and Islamic Hospital from 2009 to 2014. Upon completion of her training, she was awarded the Jordanian Board of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (JBOG) in 2014. Additionally, Dr. Ayat completed a Diploma in Minimal Invasive Surgery from the University of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, in 2021. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Reproductive Medicine at Boston University, USA.
Dr. Ayat has extensive experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology across tertiary and teaching hospitals in the UAE and Jordan. She has received several recognitions, including the Patient Hero Award in 2024 at Burjeel Medical City and the Best Medical Employee Award at Mafraq Hospital. Dr. Ayat has held key leadership roles, including Quality Lead within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department, where she led key performance improvement initiatives focusing on primary caesarean section reduction and episiotomy rate optimization. She has also served as Proxy Medical Director for Inpatient Obstetric Services at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. In addition, Dr. Ayat is actively involved in medical education through CME lectures and ultrasound workshops and has participated in media engagements on Abu Dhabi TV and Al-Yarmouk TV.
Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat, Dr. Ayat worked as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Ayat’s scope of practice includes high-risk pregnancy management, comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care, normal and operative vaginal delivery, caesarean section (elective and emergency), benign gynaecologic surgery, minimally invasive procedures, infertility and reproductive medicine, early pregnancy and recurrent pregnancy loss management, and preventive women’s health and screening.
