Pregnant women who wish to experience normal childbirth without pain, along with smooth delivery, could ask for Epidural. An epidural is commonly used to give pain relief during childbirth. It is a type of local anesthetic which is injected into your spine to numb the nerves in your womb and cervix that send pain signals to your brain. It can help during a long, complicated or especially painful labor.
For c-sections, local anesthesia/spinal could be opted where the mother could be fully awake. In cases of emergency c-sections, it would highly be general anesthesia.
