Dr Eman Al-Uthmani possesses more than 30 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr Al-Uthmani earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from University of Baghdad, Iraq, in 1988. Following this, she moved to the UK to pursue further specialty training program in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Health Education England NHS England Thames Valley Deanery from 2002 till 2008. Upon completion of his training, Dr Al-Uthmani was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
She has also underwent and satisfactorily completed several accredited Advanced Training Skills Modules (ATSM) in Advance Hysteroscopy in 2007 and in Maternal Medicine in 2008. Moreover, Dr Al-Uthmani also obtained several Special Skills Modules in Urodynamics in 2006, Advanced Hysteroscopic Surgery and Ultrasound Imaging in the Management of Gynecological Conditions in 2007, and Maternal Medicine in 2008 from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and British Society for Gynecological Endoscopy, UK.
Dr Al-Uthmani was awarded the Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound in 2008 by the Standing Joint Committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians and the Royal College of Radiologists.
She has been a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 1999
Prior to joining the Danat Al Emarat, Dr Al-Uthmani has served at different hospitals in the UAE since 2012 such as Al Rahba Hospital, Corniche Hospital, Burjeel and NMC Royal Hospital where she was Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecologist.
Dr Al-Uthmani’s scope of practice includes the management of high-risk obstetrics and those with abnormal placentation and women with diabetes. She has also vast experience in managing women with urinary incontinence, painful bladder, recurrent UTI, pelvic organ prolapses, heavy and painful periods, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and menopause.
