Veins or Venous conditions can cause discomfort and in more serious cases lead to health problems such as blood clots. Symptoms of vein problems include feeling of heaviness in the legs, aching, burning, tingling, itching or restlessness in the legs along with visible unsightly veins just below the surface of the skin. In this condition, blood doesn’t flow back properly to the heart, causing blood to pool in the veins in your legs which can cause multiple medical complications in addition to cosmetic concerns. Several factors can cause venous insufficiency, heredity, repeated pregnancies, long standing professions, previous blood clots (deep vein thrombosis) in the legs , they all end up causing damage to the vein one way valves, thereby, rendering it a burden on the legs circulation and source of trouble to come.

Types of veins conditions
Varicose Veins – Varicose veins are swollen, twisted veins that you can see just under the surface of the skin. These veins usually occur in the legs, but they also can form in other parts of the body.Varicose veins are a common condition. They cause mild to moderate pain, possible blood clots, skin ulcers (sores), or other problems.

Spider Veins – Spider veins are formed by the dilation of a small group of blood vessels located close to the surface of the skin. Although they can appear anywhere on the body, spider veins are most commonly found on the face and legs. Other than their unsightly appearance, they usually cause no health hazard but may produce a dull aching in the legs after prolonged standing and indicate more severe venous disease.

Reticular Veins – Reticular veins are the middle child of Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI). They are smaller than varicose veins roughly 2mm in diameter. Reticular and varicose veins do look similar in color blue or purple. They also appear in many of the same areas of the body. The inner and back of the thigh are common spots, as well as the lower leg and ankle. Reticular veins will sometimes feed into spider veins. This is why they’re also called feeder veins.

Facial Veins – Visible red or purple dilated blood vessels (telangiectasias) occur primarily on the face, neck and upper chest. They may appear often around the base of the nose and the top of the cheek,

Treatments for veins Conditions:
There have been tremendous advances to venous disorders treatments during the last decade. Surgery is no longer needed in almost all cases, simple outpatient Laser treatments or micro injections therapy cure most cases and eliminate unwanted and diseased veins. These include:

• Surface Laser – using the most advanced laser equipment and techniques to erase all spider veins in 1 or 2 visits.
• Sclerotherapy – using painless tiny injections, we effectively erase most reticular veins with the safe sclerosing agent.
• Endolaser Vein Treatment (EVLT) and Vein Seal Glue injection are used to eliminate larger Varicose veins. This is a half an hour outpatient non-surgical procedure.

The above conditions performed under simple local anesthesia, with minimal or no discomfort, no down time and with returning to work immediately or on the next day.
