Minimally Access Surgery (MAS)

Minimally Invasive Surgery’ or ‘Minimal Access Surgery’ is widely considered for reduction of pain and limitation of big surgical scars while applying minimal access techniques using cameras and small instruments inserted through 3 to maximum 10 mm incisions. The central idea of Minimally Invasive Surgery aims to the complete avoidance of scars and thus, minimization of pain, scars and hernia.

Our Center of Minimally Invasive and Scarless Surgery is dedicated to fulfill its surgical obligations while dealing with minimal access techniques using cameras and small instruments and while performing the vast majority of abdominal operations with small incisions. Various surgical procedures such as interventions on stomach, gallbladder, appendix, colon and rectum, can be safely performed using the so called “keyhole surgeries”. Even advanced surgeries such a hernias and obesity surgery are being performed through minimally invasive techniques.

Most important benefits of the Minimally Invasive Surgical Technique can be compiled as follows:

  • Enhanced organ recovery and consecutive reduced chance of morbidity
  • Smaller incisions with lesser pain compared to more invasive procedures
  • Faster recovery period and shorter postoperative hospital stay.

These techniques are used widely in different surgeries through different specialties including general surgery, bariatric surgery, pediatric surgery and gynecology surgery. As an SRC-accredited Center of Excellence in both Bariatric Surgery and Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery since 2019, the hospital has seen a steady growth in patients seeking our care for different medical reasons.

Minimally Access Surgery includes a variety of procedures that ensure the wellbeing of the patient:

Endoscopy: Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic tool, used to view the inside of organs, inspect for abnormalities and take biopsies. A small camera and light source are mounted onto a flexible tube which can be inserted into the mouth (to inspect the esophagus, stomach and duodenum) or the anus (to inspect the large bowel).

Laparoscopy: Laparoscopic surgery is performed through small incisions. A telescope with a video camera inserted through one incision provides visualization of the operation on a TV monitor. Surgical instruments are then passed through additional small incisions, and the entire operation takes place completely within the patient’s body. When the telescope is used to operate on the abdomen, the procedure is called laparoscopy. When used in the chest, the procedure is called thoracoscopy.

What our happy customers say about us

What our patients are saying

With the first visit, we felt that we were in safe hands and then continued consulting Dr Cathy, till the time of delivery. through out the pregnancy, She gave lot of support and guidance for normal delivery. Listens to patient questions, with lot of patience and answers them accordingly. Definitely the best gynecologist out there. During delivery time, she kept tracking every thing through nurses and duty doctors which is highly appreciable. Once again Thanks a lot for the support and guidance for us.
