Our general surgeons work closely with our internists and endocrinologists as well as endocrinologists at our sister-facility HealthPlus Diabetes & Endocrinology Center in Abu Dhabi. Our team are dedicated to providing superior medical care to patients with disorders of the thyroid gland, e.g. primary and recurrent goiter, thyroid cancer, as well as disorders with parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, neuroendocrine glands and pituitary glands. The routine use of an intraoperative neuro-monitoring has optimized the localization and preservation of the recurrent laryngeal nerves and voice. The implementation of the intraoperative parathormone testing has increased the quality of surgery of the parathyroid glands and decreased its invasiveness. Besides surgical interventions, we also provide a risk assessment of endocrine cancer.
