Education

Dr. Babalola graduated with honors from the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1989. After completing his internship at an American Baptist Hospital in Nigeria, he moved to the United States in 1994. He underwent residencies in Family Medicine at West Virginia University Hospital from 1996 to 1999, and in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Yale University School of Medicine, from 1999 to 2003.
Following his residencies, he pursued a three-year Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA. During this time, he also earned a Master of Biomedical Sciences in Clinical and Translational Science. Despite his busy clinical & surgical schedule, he completed a Master of Business Administration from Warwick Business School, Coventry, United Kingdom in 2017. Over the past decade, Dr. Babalola has held various leadership positions in academic and integrated health systems, successfully establishing multiple Female Pelvic Floor Centers that has helped advanced and improved the quality of lives for many women with urogynecology disorders.
Dr. Babalola is an American Board-certified Physician in the following specialties: Family Medicine, General Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. Recently, he obtained an advanced certification in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Babalola’s clinical interests includes vaginal reconstructive surgery, robotic-assisted and laparoscopic reconstructive procedures, female voiding dysfunction, neuromodulation for urinary & fecal incontinence, advanced gynecologic procedures for congenital anomalies, and treatments for female neuro-urologic disorders.

Experience

Dr. Babalola brings nearly 24 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He previously worked at Kanad Hospital (formerly known as Oasis Hospital) where he held positions as an ObGyn Consultant and Head of Department. He also spearheaded the accreditation of the Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery center at Kanad hospital and later served as the pioneer Director of the center.
