Danat Al Emarat Hospital welcomes 16 newborns during the first 12 hours of UAE National Day

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi welcomed a total of 16 newborns (9 boys and 7 girls) during the first few hours of the 48th UAE National Day.

The first newborn was delivered one minute after midnight (00:01 am) on 2nd of December 2019 at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi. His father, Mohammed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Emirati, said, “Having our baby boy at this time of the year is very special. We have named our new bundle of joy Abdullah, and he is our first child. We thank Allah that the baby and his mom are in good health. He was due to join us on 9 December, but with Allah’s will, we welcomed him today, a minute after midnight of our beloved UAE national day. We would like to congratulate our UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE on this very special day, the 48th UAE National Day.”

The second newborn at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children was delivered at 00:30 after midnight on UAE National Day for an Emarati family. Her father, Humaid Abdullah Mubarak, said, “We were blessed today with our baby girl who weighed 2.3 kg. We thank Allah for the blessings and that the baby and her mother are in good health. We are extremely happy to have her join us on UAE National Day. On this special day that is very dear to our hearts, we would like to congratulate UAE leaders, government and the people of UAE. The birth of our baby on this special night was a surprise for us, and now the memorable occasion is doubled for us. We are very thankful for this blessing. We have named her Hind.”

Moreover, an Emirati family were blessed with their first baby girl at 1:40 am on National Day. Mr. Ali Ahmed Al Mulla said, “Thanks to Allah our joy has been doubled today with the arrival of our first child Sheikha. We are overwhelmed that she joined us on the 48th National Day and we wish our leadership, government and people of UAE continuous prosperity and safety.”

At 1:47 am, a fourth Emirati family welcomed a baby girl. The baby weighed 3.18 Kg. Her father, Mr. Naser Noor Al Bloushi, 37 years old, said, “We are thankful for Allah’s blessings. We were blessed today with our fifth child; her 4 brothers were waiting for her. Our eldest is now 16 years old. We are truly blessed to have her too on UAE National Day, a very special day to our hearts. I would like here to thank Danat Al Emarat Hospital for their care and professionalism during my wife’s pregnancy journey and the birth of my child. We have named her, Noura. Happy UAE National Day to my beloved country.”

Mariano Gonzalez, CEO of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, part of United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical) said, “Including our UAE National Day babies born at the hospital during the early hours of the 48th National Day, a total of 15,714 babies have been born at our hospital since our first baby born on 28 October 2015, of which over 8517 were Emiratis. Amongst the total number of births, we had 8160 boys and 7554 girls. All these precious bundles of joy were managed by our team of over 200 obstetricians, pediatricians, neonatologists, midwives and nurses. We expect to welcome another 8 babies by end of today. From here, we would like to congratulate the UAE’s leadership, government and people on the 48th UAE National Day.”

The hospital distributed flowers and gifts for all patients and children who are spending National Day at the hospital.
