Dr. Summia is the Medical Director at Danat Al Emarat and a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with over 10 years of experience. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 2001 with an MBChB degree, winning the Margaret Fairlie prize in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
She completed her advanced training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), UK, and holds a Doctor of Medicine (Research) from Imperial College London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from Cardiff University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice (Clinical Leadership) from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Dr. Summia is a Diplomate of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Her practice focuses on high-risk antenatal and intrapartum care, post-natal care, with research interests in sepsis, induction of labor, medical leadership, human factors, and MDT skills training.
