Priya Arumugam is the Senior Director of Operations at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. In her new role, she will focus on business transformation, strategic planning, and optimizing healthcare operations to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and drive sustained growth and innovation. Priya brings extensive experience in operations, strategic business planning, profit and loss, product management, innovation, business transitions, and talent acquisition to her new position, where she will play a key role in advancing the M42 Group's objectives.
Prior to joining Mubadala Investment Company in 2021, Priya served as Head of Operations at Aster DM Healthcare in Qatar and as Senior Administrator at Fortis Healthcare in India. With two decades of experience, she has a proven track record in managing hospitals, medical technology, talent acquisition, spearheading innovative initiatives, and consulting on various projects.
Priya holds an undergraduate degree in Medical Biochemistry, a Master’s in Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiac Science, an MBA in Hospital Administration, and an Executive MBA. She is also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Her extensive expertise in tertiary and quaternary healthcare, combined with her insights into emerging market dynamics, has been key to leading transformative projects across Mubadala's assets and beyond.
