Dr. Khulood Alawadi obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1996. She completed obstetrics and Gynaecology residency training at Dubai Health Authority, UAE. Then, she went to the United Kingdom where she completed specialist training in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FSRH). Furthermore, Dr Al Awadi, pursued a certification in Assisted Reproduction from the British Fertility Society in 2008 and completed colposcopy training from the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). From 2011 to 2013, she earned several certifications and letters of competence from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) in the UK, including training in Subdermal Contraceptive Implant Techniques, Intrauterine Techniques, Medical Education, Abortion Care, Advanced Menopause and Early Pregnancy Care, and Gynaecology Ultrasound. In January 2019, Dr. Alawadi became certified in International Ovarian Tumour Analysis (IOTA). She also completed the RCOG Advanced Fellowship Program in Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy in 2020.
Dr. Alawadi specializes in a broad range of sexual and reproductive health services, including education, pregnancy and preconception care, menstrual health, adolescent and teen care, psychosocial support, and female health screening programs. Prior to her current role at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Dr. Alawadi served at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA).
