Dr. Nathalie El Ters graduated from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, in 2010, earning her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Following graduation, she pursued her medical and residency training at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine University Hospitals Case Medical Center – Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in the USA from 2011 to 2014. Dr. El Ters then went on to successfully complete a fellowship program in the Department of Neonatal – Perinatal Medicine at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University of St. Louis, USA from 2014 to 2017. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and holds a sub-board certification in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine from the American Board of Pediatrics.
Experience
Dr. Nathalie El Ters has more than 12 years of experience in Pediatrics and Neonatology. Dr. El Ters has special interest in fetal care and antenatal counseling, along with a focus on the neurodevelopmental follow-up of infants who have been discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit. Her research primarily revolves around neurophysiology and neuromonitoring in both preterm and term infants.
Prior to joining Danat Al Emarat, Dr. Al Ters worked at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (Washington University of St. Louis), USA, as a Neonatologist and Assistant Professor.
Dr. El Ters scope of practice covers prematurity, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, congenital abnormalities, persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn.
